We are so excited about our new barber shop and if the feedback from residents around us, and in Newport Village, and Suter Brooke is any indication, so is everybody else! What we have done is redesign the front and lounge area of our salon to include a barber shop that is a part of but separate from our salon with separate entrances for each. We have always felt that there many men and even families that just want a traditional barbershop experience and pricing so that’s what we’ve created. We started by putting together a team of really fabulous barbers with a heap of experience, and made it just a simple convenient setup with a few of the things guys will want , like 24 hr HD Sports. So now you have a choice laser, esthetics, colour, updos, high end cuts, styling and straightening in Exquisite or just a good solid barbershop experience next door at EXQ Barbershop.

The first 10 cuts of the day will be FREE, and cuts for the rest of the day will be just $11. We are also distributing a flyer with a coupon for $5 off your cut on any other day (good until the end of May) and are running an Ad in the Tricity News market section with the same coupon.
Those of us who went through the Brazilian Blowout debacle were very frustrated, not just because the product wasn’t as safe as the company claimed, but also because the product really really worked. It was a god send to those looking for smoother more manageable hair. So after BB went south we were determined to find an alternative smoothing treatment and we looked far and wide, but seemingly all the products that worked well were using some variation of Brazilian Blowout’s formulation, and soon they too were banned by Health Canada also. Some salons introduced dubious new smoothing treatments that attempted to bond on keratin with different methods – but our spies told us that the smoothing just didn’t last. So we waited, and wished. We are delighted to at last announce to you that the wait is OVER! Liquid Keratin – which is in fact a Canadian company has had a tamed consumer version of their smoothing treatment for some time, the big news is they’ve now introduced a safe new professional formulation that gets results. The product has been tested by an independant lab, and using state of the art equipment and procedures has been certified to be free of formaldehyde, and other formaldehyde like chemicals. And the results are amazing!

Released in the fall of 2008 we love the TIGI Remix collection. A short cut that’s so much fun to play with, a beautiful long cut that almost takes us back to the 60′s, and look, curls working their way back into our consciousness.
